"Sonic Adventure 2" for Dreamcast

Publication: Sega/SonicTeam Price: $39.95 (excluding tax) Release Date: Released in USA June 18, 2001 (WW June 23,2001) This is the original game, released for the Dreamcast three months after its worldwide discontinuation. There is unfortunately no way to legitamately purchase this outside of Retro Game Shops or taking a chance on eBay. I would not recommend the latter, unless you like getting scammed.

"Sonic Adventure 2: Battle" for GameCube

Publication: Sega/SonicTeam Price: $49.99 (excluding tax) Release Date: Released in Japan December 20, 2001 (WW Early 2002) This is the enhanced port made for the GameCube, marking it as one of Sonic's first games released on a Nintendo Console. Much like the Dreamcast version, there is unfortunately no way to legitamately purchase this outside of Retro Game Shops or taking a chance on eBay. I would not recommend the latter, unless you like getting scammed, but to be fair, the listings for this have gone down in recent years.

"Sonic Adventure 2" for PlayStation Network

Publication: Sega of China Price: $9.99 (excluding tax) Release Date: Released in October, 2012 (Worldwide, PSNow: September 9, 2015) This is the HD "Remaster" of Sonic Adventure 2, which is just Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, with the content from Battle stripped out and made into DLC. Much like the Dreamcast and GameCube versions, there is unfortunately no way to legitamately purchase this as it was delisted. Unlike them however, there is no physical disc that can be purchased.

"Sonic Adventure 2" for Xbox Live Arcade

Publication: Sega of China Price: $9.99 (excluding tax) Release Date: Released in October, 2012 (Worldwide) This is the HD "Remaster" of Sonic Adventure 2, which is just Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, with the content from Battle stripped out and made into DLC. Unlike the previous versions, this version is still available for purchase and download for Xbox One X|S, and Xbox Series X|S through backwards compatibility. The Battle DLC can also be purchased.

"Sonic Adventure 2" for Steam

Publication: Sega of China Price: $9.99 (excluding tax) Release Date: Released on November 19, 2012 (JP: January 23, 2024) This is the HD "Remaster" of Sonic Adventure 2, which is just Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, with the content from Battle stripped out and made into DLC. Unlike the previous versions, this version is still available for purchase and download.
