The following are the 6 characters exclusive to 2P Versus Mode.
HeroSide
AMY ROSE
Amy She is a happy and energetic girl who loves Sonic.

Even though he doesn't love her, she is always after him. She will chase after him no matter where he goes.

She won't give up easily, so her opponents will have a hard time fighting her!

CHAO W/ CHAO WALKER
This time, Chao join the battle using their own machine that Tails built for them.

Their attacks and defenses aren't very strong, but they can move quicker than anyone else.

However, there is a rumor that they don't know how to drive their Chao Walkers very well.

TIKAL THE ECHIDNA
Tikal She is the daughter of the ancient Knuckles tribe's leader, Pachacamac, who was in Sonic Adventure.

She is a caring person, and everyone loves her, however, she sometimes opposes her father's ways.

She moves very quickly and is a proud warrior of this tribe.

DarkSide
METAL SONIC
A high-performance Sonic robot which was created by Dr. Eggman.

The first appearance of Metal Sonic was in Sonic CD.

In order to compete with Sonic's speed, Metal Sonic is equipped with a powerful propulsion system, which allows Metal Sonic to accelerate quickly.

There are no special attacks which effect his body.

DARK CHAO W/ DARK CHAO WALKER
Dark Chao Walker Dr. Eggman created the Dark Chao Walker for the mean Dark Chao.

It doesn't move very fast, but its attack and defenses are strong enough to scare their opponents.

One blow will kill you.

CHAOS ZERO
The guardian angel of the Chaos Emerald. Chaos Zero was in Sonic Adventure.

After being released from the ancient seal, Chaos Zero absorbed the Chaos Emeralds one by one and increased its size.

Eventually, it completely destroyed a whole city. Its destructive impulse are toned down, but its special attack is still very powerful.
